Welcome little angels

Yeippiee!!!

An addition of a sweet little member in our family....yes, my brother and sis-in-law have been blessed with a princess. :) And this is not it. A few days earlier another cousin of mine also was blessed with a lil boy. Our chotu bachaa league is increasing. :) So I thought of making something unique for the new parents.

Both my brothers live miles apart from where I stay so there is no possibility that I will be able to meet my little cuties any time soon. Ohh!!! I so want to pick them up in my arms and play with them. New born babies capture my heart as soon as they open up their eyes. So adorable they look. Seems like they are miniature art forms. Coming back to the card I made for them. Here it is - Pram card

A flying birdie just said I Love You

A few I made days ago...

Today I...
Woke up at 4 am. Yesterday has been a night when something happens that makes you cross (without any specific reason) and then you can't sleep and you keep thinking about it and get more and more annoyed, tossing and turning, your pillow feels like it's made out of cactus....well.
So in the morning I was moving around like a bear with heavy steps suddenly experiencing 'the joys of morning'. Then yes, I went...outside for a walk. Otherwise, I am happiest with my bum in my bed.
When I came back home I decided to take photographs of the card designs I had made long ago and drank coffee. After that tried not to be grumpy and went to sleep for a couple hours.

So here are the cards.

Card 1:
Concept: Best Wishes, Have a good day, Good Morning, Hello

Card 2:

Card 3:

Soon gonna post a few lovey dovey cards too...Keep watching the space for more.. :)

Little many-folds scrapbook

Yeippiee!! I made my first little scrapbook. And it has come out to be so adorable. I just love the earthy colors along with the bright blue ribbon. Looks damn cool. This one's so little that it can fit in a pocket. :) A lovely gift idea for your loved one's birthday.

Cheers!

Azadi ka din

FREEDOM....holds a different meaning in everyone's life. There are so many definitions that it will take a day to write them down here. :)

To me Freedom is just doing what I do best. Thank god I have been blessed with such lovely people in my life who have always motivated me to do what I want to. Okay, now coming back to Aazadi diwas. It's 68th Independence Day. And I am so so exited. :) I got my first order a few days ago, that too 'cards for Independence Day'. The hustle and bustle, the rush that I went through while making the cards is inexpressible. And after seeing the outcome, I was floored (big ear to ear grin). This is one really awesome thing about my passion for craft. You create and the outcome is right in front of you. No waiting. :)

I made the following 2 cards.

Card 1:

Card 2: This particular card reminded me of my school days when we were supposed to draw and create cards for teachers or to be put on the notice board.

Happy Independence Day folks!

Do what you love. Love what you do.

Happy Birthday Barsha Ma'am

FRIENDS ? COLLEAGUES ? No we were more like SOUL MATES..
OFFICE MEMORIES ? Without her i don't have any..
OFFICE BUNK ? She was the one who allowed me to....

TRAVEL ? Much memories and incredible time of my life...
SHOPPING ? I don't remember if anytime i have gone alone...

No matter what my mood is...She's the one to manipulate it..
She cares more than anyone could ever think of.. And her love is infinite..

There are a very few people who I just adore. And the one am talking of right now clearly tops the list. She's been my mentor in my first job, the one who has very patiently listened to all my nonsense and abrupt conversations, even talked to people and listens about people who I love and what not.

Barsha ma'am you are gem of a person and am so incredibly in love with you. I've learnt so much from you. You really are an inspiration and will always be for me. :)

Happy Birthday Ma'am

Here's a small token of love for you on your special day.

Memories entangled - DIY Photo-frame

In life, there's no pause button, no rewind, and definitely no replay. Its not where you are in life, it's who you have by your side that matters. And pictures (say Cheeeeezzzzzz) are there to remind us so we never forget.

Since past many years, I have been wanting to put up a nice photo collage framed (like we get in Archies) in our home, but I never liked how they were formed. I always wanted to put up something different. As we've got a lot of pictures, it seemed to be a good idea that I put up something where we could change the pictures often.

Fortunately, I found a very old canvas (lying under the bed from ages, I suppose. Uff, full of dust) which my mother bought for us to paint something. And knowing me, I tried so many times to start working on it but I would just take it out, look at it for hours and then put it away thinking that I should first gather ideas on what I want to do with it. Hahaha. So, after a long wait the canvas was being used. Finally!

Ok ok!! I din't use the canvas. I just used it's frame. Below is the picture of all the material I used to make the frame.

So here it is. My 'Memories entangled' photo-frame. Actually before naming this frame memories entangled I was thinking of naming it 'The cobweb of memories'. But because the suggestion came from a very dear friend (and I loved the name too), I named it such. :)

I made very cute jute flowers to decorate border of the frame.

Everybody at home loved the idea. And the best part is we can change the pictures whenever we want to and the size of the pictures can vary. Do give it a try.

Friendship day special cards

Friendship day is around the corner. I normally don't believe in this philosophy of celebrating a specific day for friends. But as we all know, friends are something we just can not ignore. Friend is actually a synonym to family. We share, we crib, we cry, tell jokes, can even scratch each others head, but we love them. After all talking to a friend is sometimes all the therapy one needs.

I wonder what my life would have been if I did not have super friends. A good friend is a connection to life - a tie to the past, a road to the future, a key to sanity in a totally insane world.

So this week I will post cards on friendship.

This one being the first card - Our Friendship Sparkles. Hope you all like it. :)

Card 2 - Best Friends Forever

Card 3 - You're something special

Buddha

Hello friends!!

Today on display is a picture of Buddha. Nowadays I've been reading quite a lot about Buddha, his journey and his teachings. It so amuses me. Buddha means “the Awakened One”, someone who has awakened and sees things as they really are. Buddhism is more of a way of life.
I found a picture of Buddha on internet and this is what I made taking the inspiration.

“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”

Be inspired!!

Sweet 16 Easel card

Good Morning Friends!

Today am sharing a card I made for my sister for her 16th birthday. I have been blessed with the most amazing sister one can ever have. Everything about her is so so special. We are the best of friends and best critiques for each other too. :P

Since my childhood I have believed that gifting your loved ones should be customized in a way that it speaks loud of all the love with which it has been chosen. And what better than making a card that speaks of the love and care you have.

So when my sis was to turn sweet 16, I made this adorable card for her. And she just loved it. This card is a stunner. The color combinations add highlight and bring out the coolness in the card.

Take a look. This is the front of the card.

The card opens up to a beautiful write-up. A birthday card is not just about wishes and greetings. A card is incomplete without a special thought. Turning 16 is an important stage of our life. So, wise thoughts pour in the card to bring in substance.

What makes the card more special is that it can be placed over the showcase without the fear of it trembling down. Check out.

Hope you all liked the card. :)

Happy Weekend!
